This breathtaking home, located on Choctawhatchee Bay, is a perfect example of how a custom home can be integrated into a natural setting without feeling intrusive to the environment. Erika Powell of Urban Grace Interiors and Edward San Juan of E F San Juan partnered together in creating a nature inspired aesthetic using wood throughout the interiors, poplar bark siding and stone elements in the design. One of the homeowners’ goals was to allow natural light in through massive custom impact rated folding door systems and windows. E F San Juan’s teams from Savoie, Urban Grace and Davis Dunn ultimately chose to implement Euro-Wall’s impact rated folding door system to achieve this goal. Euro-Wall folding doors have an industry leading 12′ tall impact height capacity and a 52″ width maximum making it an ideal choice for large span openings.
For this particular project, there were two openings the homeowners wanted to create a seamless transition between their nature inspired interiors to the outdoor spaces. The first expansive opening utilizes Euro-Wall’s folding doors to connect the great room with the deck area. The second set of bar-top folding windows are located in the kitchen and open up to the grilling area creating an open communal space.
We thank our partners at E. F. San Juan for accomplishing such this beautiful project. Having such large openings made it crucial to choose a product that is built meticulously. Euro-Wall door systems are all manufactured with great precision and care because we know how important every detail of a project can be. Euro-Wall folding doors can be configured as corner units, radius or straight, making them an optimal choice for any project, big or small.
