Featured Project: PGA TOUR

The new Global Home of the PGA TOUR in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida opened in 2021 and was designed by Foster + Partners. Arch Daily explains that the the goal behind this new project is, “Focussing on health and wellbeing, the design blurs the boundaries between the lush landscape and the interior spaces with shaded outdoor terraces and generous amenities that embrace new ways of working and collaboration.” 

This three-story structure was engineered across 187,000 sq ft and replaced the tour’s 17 previous buildings. The tour is expected to staff over 700 employees, giving them all a space which includes outdoor terraces, wellness centers, fitness centers and cafes. What really makes this facility unique is the desire to design and execute this project with a major focus on the natural surroundings. One of the key principles to this design methodology is biophilia – the innate human instinct to connect with nature and other living beings.
